Feedback is collected only when you actively tap the thumbs-up or thumbs-down button on a response and submit the feedback form. No data is sent automatically. If you never tap a feedback button, no conversation data ever leaves your device.
Feedback is stored in Cloudflare D1, a serverless database. Data is encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to the app developer only — there is no shared access, no analytics dashboard, and no third-party integrations.
Feedback data is used solely to identify incorrect or low-quality answers and improve the app's response accuracy. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than making Factiq better.
Feedback data is kept for as long as it is useful for improving response quality. Once it is no longer needed, it is deleted. There is no fixed retention schedule — data is reviewed and cleaned up periodically.
Feedback is entirely voluntary. If you don't want to send feedback, simply don't tap the thumbs-up or thumbs-down buttons. There is no automatic data collection, background uploads, or passive tracking of any kind.
Before submitting feedback, you see this disclosure in the app:
